Principles for the use of cookies
on the website www.kvarter-living.sk
This document provides information on how our company Immocap a.s., Company ID No.: 35944536, registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, Section: Sa, File No.: 3633/B (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or “we”), as the data controller, uses cookies in connection with the operation and use of the website www.kvarter-living.sk.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the user’s web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox) on their computer or on another internet-enabled device, such as a smartphone or tablet. This file enables the user of our website to easily and quickly obtain customised content again whenever they return to our websites. Information from a cookie is accessible only to the website, or the web server of the company that created it.
A cookie is only a “passive” file and does not contain any additional software programs that could be executed on the user’s internet-enabled device, such as a computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.
2. What do cookies contain?
On the Company’s websites you may encounter temporary and persistent cookies.
Temporary cookies are used in the user’s browser only while the user is viewing the website. These are mainly files used to secure and identify the connection with the user’s device during a single visit (for example, information on whether it is a mobile device or a computer, etc.). After leaving the website, the files are deleted from the computer or other device.
Persistent cookies remain on the computer or other device until their expiry or until deleted by the user. They are used, for example, to identify the language used or to pre-fill a form. They also serve to provide more relevant content and personalised communication of our Company with the user.
3. What are the benefits of using cookies?
A cookie is a file that contains information from the user’s web browser and from a specific web server. If a web browser accesses the web server again, the server can more easily and quickly load this information and respond to the data stored in it.
The Company uses this technology on its websites in order to better integrate its services. This includes targeted advertising on the websites, processing of forms on the websites, as well as the secure and error-free functioning of the website as such.
Thanks to cookies, we are able to continuously improve and enhance not only our websites, but also the services we provide.
We use cookies primarily to analyse website traffic through the services Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Hotjar. These are analytical tools that help website and application operators understand how visitors use these resources. Cookies may be used for statistical data on website usage without personal identification of individual users. If you set your browser to block the saving of cookies, some parts of our websites may not function without certain limitations or delays.
4. Privacy protection
These principles serve to provide specific information regarding how we use cookies. If we use cookies for the processing of personal data that can be attributed to a specific individual user, the rules set out in the relevant legal regulations on the protection of personal data and privacy shall apply. These form part of our personal data processing principles as well as the terms of use of our website. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with these documents; they are available on our website www.kvarter-living.sk.
5. For what purposes do we use cookies?
In general, we use cookies for the following purposes:
- marketing purposes, including profiling, targeting and personalisation of content and advertising;
- ensuring the functioning of the website;
- collecting analytical data (on user behaviour).
6. How long do we retain cookies?
Each cookie has a set duration, i.e. period of functionality, depending on the purpose for which the cookie is used. For this reason, the durations stated in the tables below shall apply, as appropriate, to the period of use or storage.
7. What are the options for setting and deleting cookies?
On the Company’s websites you may encounter so-called necessary, statistical and marketing cookies. Each website user is entitled to set the use of cookies where possible. Consent to the use of cookies is granted primarily for marketing purposes.
You can control and/or delete cookies at your own discretion; details can be found, for example, at www.aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies stored on your device and you can set most browsers to prevent their storage. In such a case, however, you will probably have to manually adjust certain settings each time you visit the website, and some services and functions will not work.
8. Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies are those without which it is not possible to browse our websites and the services associated with them in the standard manner, i.e. in accordance with the user’s expectations. These cookies are necessary either for technical storage, access solely for the purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over a network, or they are cookies that are strictly necessary in order for us to provide you with an information society service that you request. The use of necessary cookies is possible without your consent. Necessary cookies therefore cannot be activated or deactivated.
